REENA on DJ H
I panicked because I was 15 minutes late but then he turned up an hour late – if this’d been a proper date I would have been long gone!
But once he arrived with apologies and flowers(which would’ve been cheesy on a real first date), I gave him a big thumbs up for the effort.
Obviously, I fancied him because I entered the competition, but there was no chance of getting starstruck because
I’ve never heard his songs – it’s not really my type of music. He looked even better in real life, with really pretty eyes,
plus he was tall which is always a bonus. I don’t have a type and have notoriously bad taste in guys, but I can say he’s easily
the best looking guy I’ve ever been on a date with.
He came across really friendly, chilled-out and a pretty chatty guy. It wasn’t long before I thought:
‘This could turn out to be a right laugh after all.’ We both seemed like natural people.
Being a DJ, I was semi-prepared to meet a guy in jeans and a t-shirt, but he clearly knows how to make an effort in the style stakes.
He even went as far as to say my shoes didn’t match my outfit, the cheeky bugger!
I don’t usually tell people about my job because they find it really boring but he took an interest, which took me by surprise.
In terms of interest, he’s really into all the Asian stuff and that’s not my thing at all. And although he was on the phone enough to
drive any girl crazy, at least we have the same phone! So the only time we really bonded was talking about the applications on our iPhones.
There’s no knocking his personality, and it was refreshing he didn’t big himself up like DJs do, but there was no chemistry there.
But he must have something, I don’t scoff raw green chillies to impress just any guy!
